Kim - Tenor
Kim has been singing barbershop longer than she would like to admit.
In 1977 she won her first Gold Quartet Medal as a member of the Minor Birds. She has sung in several other Quartets including the LABBS 2002 Gold Medal Quartet Caboodle. Kim is also a member of the championship chorus Phoenix.
Kim is the Tenor section leader and she is a member of the LABBS Singing Category. Kim has judged and coached nationally and internationally and is past Category Director.
In her spare time she is the Chief Nursing Officer of a London Hospital.
Kim is married to Chris and has two daughters - Holly 22 and Lucy 20.
Jenn - Lead
Jenn has been singing barbershop since 1996.
As well as being Section Leader, she is a member of the Music Team and choreographer with Phoenix, and a LABBS Presentation Judge. She sang lead with Kim and Caroline in 2002 LABBS champion quartet, Caboodle.
In January she became a member of Norwich Harmony; having worked with these lovely ladies in the past she is looking forward to future coaching sessions.
In between singing, choreography and coaching, Jenn teaches 11-18 year olds the wonders of mathematics.
Nicky - Bass
Nicky started her quartet life singing with Lynda, Jane and Glenis, in the LABBS finalist quartet - Rapport. They enjoyed 4 happy years of singing together and shared a lot of fun. The memories are good, and the friendships – lifelong.
She is Bass Section Leader and a member the Phoenix music team. She also teaches singing privately. She is a current LABBS Singing judge and coach and enjoys coaching choruses and quartets around the country and abroad, including the lovely ladies at Pennine Chimes who, in return, have been kind enough to give her membership in order for her to continue to sing and judge in LABBS with the new rules – thanks girls!
In real life, she is an “Education Case Worker for Looked after Children” which means she works with children in care who are having problems at school. She has two lovely boys who are 12 and 15 so she can often be found on the side of a football pitch cheering them on.
Caroline - Baritone
Caroline has been singing with Phoenix since 1977 and was a member of the LABBS 2002 Gold Medal Quartet Caboodle with Jenn and Kim.
Caroline was a social worker in her previous life, but is now a less stressed Sales Support Specialist for a French Truck manufacturer.
Caroline has an 18 year old son and a 16 year old daughter.
